DIRECTIONS FOR TRAVELLING TO ADPCA 2001 at Manchester’s GMB NATIONAL COLLEGE

College Road, Whalley Range, Manchester, M16 8BP  

From the City Centre

At Ardwick take the Mancunian Way signed A57M Warrington, Preston (M61), Liverpool (M62). At the roundabout take the first exit B5218 Chorlton. Cross the third set of traffic lights with the Whalley Hotel on your right then take the 5th road on the right into College Road.

From the North

M60 onto the M602 signed Salford and Docks and onto the A57 Manchester. At the next roundabout take the 3rd exit B5218 Stretford (1st exit is Deansgate, 2nd Mancunian Way, 4th A56 Chester Road). Cross the 3rd set of traffic lights with the Whalley Hotel on your right then take the 5th road on the right into College Road.

From the East

Leave the M60 at Junction 5, A5103 Manchester onto Princess Road. Carry straight onto Princess Road A5103. After about 3 miles look for the Princess Pub at the junction of Mauldeth Road West. At the next set of traffic lights turn left into Wilbraham Road signed Stretlord A6010. At the 2nd set of traffic lights turn right into Withington Road. College Road is the 6th on the left immediately after St Margaret School.

From the South

Follow the M56 to the end signed A5103 Manchester (do not branch left onto the M60 Stockport). Carry straight onto Princess Road A5103. After about 3 miles look for the Princess Hotel at the junction of Mauldeth Road West. At the next set of traffic lights turn left into Wilbraham Road signed Stretford A6010. At the 2nd set of traffic lights turn right into Withington Road. College Road is the 6th on the left immediately after St Margaret School.

From the West

Leave the M60 at Junction 5, A5103. Take the slip road towards Northenden. Turn right under the motorway and right again towards Manchester City Centre (A5103). Carry straight onto Princess Road A5103. After about 3 miles look for the Princess Pub at the junction of Mauldeth Road West. At the next set of traffic lights turn left into Wilbraham Road signed Stretford A6010. At the 2nd set of traffic lights turn right into Withington Road. College Road is the 6th on the left immediately after St Margaret School.

 From the Airport 

Follow signs to M56 - City Centre. Follow M56 to it's end then A5103 to Manchester (do not branch left onto the M60 Stockport). Carry straight onto Princess Road A5103. By Rail & Bus

The main Railway Stations in Manchester are Piccadilly, Victoria and Oxford Road. There are taxi ranks at all three stations. The National Bus Station is on Chorlton Street there is a taxi rank outside the main entrance. Approximate fare is £5.00 from all stations.
