mkARC

Membership is by invitation from the association and for BACP Accredited counsellors or psychotherapists, psychotherapists registered with an UKCP Member Organisation, or other accrediting organisation recognised by MKARC. The annual membership fee is Ł10.

mkARC was formed in 1996 as a vehicle for bringing colleagues together who were working in the Milton Keynes area. The group meets approximately six times a year to exchange news and views about working in a counselling practice (most of us are in independent practice) and most of the meetings have specific topics for discussion, whilst others are left more open.

This year meetings are held on different evenings to maximise the chance of members and guests joining us. They are times 7.30 to 9 pm and held at The Quaker Centre, 1 Oakley Gardens, Downhead Park, (off V9 Portway) Milton Keynes, MK15 9BH.

Milton Keynes is a small counselling community and you may see on the membership page of this site the name of someone with whom you have had a professional relationship as either client/ supervisee/trainee or other. We encourage new members to contact existing members who they have known in this context, to make contact, or meet together in private, to acknowledge and discuss the differences in their relationship caused by becoming colleagues.
