Lily, 91 years of age, explores her feelings about the losses and frustrations she is experiencing in old age, particularly those connected with her deteriorating eyesight. Gaynor, a worker for the Norfolk and Norwich Association for the Blind, listens and responds with empathy to Lily's concerns and, when appropriate, looks at practical considerations with her. This is their first meeting.

This video, lasting 38 minutes, would be useful in any training for those working with the elderly and/or the partially sighted. It would be helpful to doctors, nurses, care assistants, social workers, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, counsellors etc. It raises awareness and provokes discussion on a variety of issues.

Useful teaching notes accompany the video, which was produced by Ruth Wright in 1999.
